The Third “Lineage Practice Teaching Series”

by the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa

Great news!  The Gyalwang Karmapa has graciously agreed to bestow the third “Linear Practice Teaching Series” to the Chinese disciples prior to the start of the 26th Kagyu Monlam Chenmo.

The topic of His Holiness’ lectures is The teachings of Kagyu Masters.  Additionally, His Holiness will bestow the Refuge Vow and Bodhisattva Vow during the teaching.

Both Chinese and English translations will be available.  Other languages may be available via FM radio.

Registration Information

1.     Group Registration:  Each group leader must submit a list of the following information for each person attending to The Hwa-Yue Foundation (hwayue@gmail.com) before November 30, 2008.

a.      Group member’s name

b.     Passport number

c.      Gender

d.     Local hotel information

e.      Your local Indian guide’s contact number in India. 

This information is for registration purposes, and will allow The Foundation time to prepare name tags and teaching material packages. It will also serve as a record for the Karmapa’s Office and the Indian government.

2.     Individual Registration: Individuals are encouraged to join a group or form a group to gain the convenience of group registration. Alternatively, an individual may register by submitting the Individual Registration Form to The Foundation (hwayue@gmail.com) before November 30, 2008. 

Important Note: Registration can only be done through email  (hwayue@gmail.com).

There will be NO on-site registration available.

3.     All registered attendees must report to the Registration Desk on December 30th, 2008 (from 9:00am to 5:00pm) in Tegar Monastery, Bodh Gaya, India to receive name tags and teaching packages.

Important Information to Observe

To comply with India government rules, we would like to ask you to observe the following requirements:

  1. Wear your name tag at all times. Only people with name tags will be admitted.
  2. Recorders, camcorders, cameras, mobile phones are NOT allowed in the teaching.  You will need to pass a security check before the admission.
  3. Please carry your important personal belongs in a small bag to the teachings. Large bags or backpacks will not be allowed.
  4. Each attendee will be given a shoe bag to put shoes in.  It is recommended to wear shoes that are comfortable and easy to be taken off.
  5. As there will be many attendees in the teaching, it is recommended to get a flu shot before your arrival in India.
  6. For environmental protection, we encourage everyone to bring your own cup, utensils etc.
